Safety when fishing

As much as we all love rock fishing, doing it in a SAFE manner is important. Fishing with no cleats or life jacket is unsafe and just not on. In order to keep safe and prevent casualties, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND wearing a life jacket and cleats when fishing as well as light clothing.

Please check the weather before going fishing. Most open sea rock platforms start becoming dangerous when the swell height is at around 1.5-2m. If the swell is over 2m, you are better off fishing somewhere safer such as an estuary or a closed bay.
