The UC 11.5ft is one of FCL Labos signature shore casting rods for seabass. It is perfectly at home in Australia for chasing Tailor, Salmon and Mulloway as well as small Kings and Tunas. This is a very light weight rod at just 255g and is the perfect tool for the skilled rock fishing angler.

Featuring a very responsive blank for flat accurate casting in demanding conditions, the blank maintains a crisp stiffness right through to the tip for maximum casting power. This rod is ideally suited to someone who wants pinpoint accuracy in swimming minnows, stickbaits and poppers around rock ledges and headlands.

This rod is ideally matched to lightweight and powerful reel like a Daiwa Certate 4000 or Shimano Stella 4000. The high performance blank is complemented by Fuji fittings, including Titanium framed Torzite guides for performance and durability

Notes by FCL Labo Team
This time we have lengthened it. The reason why it needs to be longer is because most 11ft variants are out there whilst the casting distance is increased but operating the lure becomes harder, Originally when the second beta game was made, we actually produced a blank that was 12ft long but we rejected it because the lightness and elasticity of the carbon fiber technology 14 years ago was not up to standard.

Time passed and a product that we could be satisfied with at 11.5ft was able to be produced.

It is a rod that demonstrates superiority by length but how accurately can the lure be used? That's where the 2S design comes in.
It is finished as a good rod that can demonstrate superiority by length and thanks to the 2S design, lures can be used accurately.

UC11.5SS Detailed Comparison by FCL Labo Field Tester

It is the longest model of 2S that came out as a new work in 2019. I think that it is said how much about lightness, length and hardness, but I would like to explain it based on the real data.
First, I would like to write a comparison with the UC112S about the bend of the blank with respect to the load. The UC112S is a light blank that appeared in 2014 and is characterized by being able to be operated with one hand to some extent.
What I mean is that compared to β2 at that time, the 112S was a Hirass Quad that came out of that balance between long-distance weight and hardness. I think it is a good rod even now.
On the other hand, what is happening with 11.5ft is a situation where a load of 500 g is applied to the upper part of the photo and 1 kg at the bottom of the photo. If I comment on this point, 11.5ft is stiffer because I am supportive.

It is the same with the tip, but if you look at the photo of the butt side, the butt part of 11 is more bent. In particular, the bend from around the joint is bent compared to 11.5ft. In fact, you can feel that the side that has it is stiffer at 11.5. The top feels a little stiffer at 11.5ft compared to 11 and 11.5. In fact, when you catch a fish, I think that 11.5 is easier to handle.
However, I think that there will be parts that do not feel so due to the relationship that it is light and long. It should feel so soft. However, if you look at the actual load applied, it is obvious at a glance, and in a sense it is natural.
We're moving forward, so a certain amount of time difference isn't going to happen for a long time, so it's kind of natural for the new model to surpass the old model. Otherwise there is no point in putting it out.
In terms of taper, 11.5ft is slower taper than 11 and the butt is thinner. The two guides on the butt section also contribute to the balance of the overall number of guides. Even with a small amount of carbon, it is possible to fight using sufficient materials for loading. It is in a position that draws a line from 11SS and 11β3, but I think that it is an item that can be recommended as a tool to make a new path.
Of course, with lure operability, casting that takes advantage of its length is possible. If it gets long, some people will not be able to shake it off, so it is dangerous to leave that judgment to others.
From the basic load, it is possible to use it as a rod that is easy to apply centrifugal force for a long period of time. The handling is also not so inconvenient, and it is a rod that can make use of the advantage of the length in fights.
