Sunline Iso Special Gure Michi line

Features

[Sharpen your vision and catch the tide. Equipped with snake pitch colour.]

The Sunline Iso Special Gure Michi line features a refined design with shortened blue and pink color pitch intervals from 25cm to 15cm, complemented by a new orange 3m marker. This evolution incorporates the distinctive "snake pitch colour" pattern, significantly enhancing visibility without spooking fish. Anglers benefit from improved visual sensitivity that accurately transmits tidal flow and tackle movement. The line's durability against powerful strikes is further enhanced by "Plasma Rise" surface modification technology, which substantially increases knot strength for reliable performance in demanding conditions.

●A new size of "2.75" has been added as a strategy for catching large gure (similar to the Australian drummer).
●The spool is made of LIMEX, a new environmentally friendly material made from limestone.

Feedback from Takashi Shiromoto from Sunline.

Pitch and markings
"I tried a lot of things. I tried green, but it didn't feel right.
The shorter the pitch, the more the fish bite. Same with flashy colours.
So I wonder if it's because the pink and blue combination is hard for fish to see. I guess
it's not a colour that makes them want to attack. Short black was the worst. Then I learned which colours and lengths were bad.
That's how the previous Gure Michi was made.
At that time, I tried a 15cm pitch, but the cost was not right, so I went with 25cm. Then the manufacturing technology improved and I was able to make the new Gure Michi with a 15cm pitch. I tried making an even shorter pitch, but it didn't feel right".

"I made a ton of prototypes. Over 30 different kinds. There's the appearance too. Like how it looks cool to an angler, and how it looks when wound on a reel.
I paid a lot of attention to those kinds of things.

This time on the Gure Michi, I added orange markings, and I thought it would be easier to understand intuitively if there were markings roughly every 3m, so that you could see what happened to the rig if you let out this much line. Just by letting out the line, about 3m will come out.
You can tell when you've let out too much, or when you haven't let out enough. 3m is the easiest distance to tell.
Then you can tell the bite by the pink and cobalt blue marks in between those 3m".

"My fishing style is mainly semi-floating, but that's not all. I also sink the float and cast it far. When I do that, I can't see the float, so I have to use the line to get the bite. It's the same when I cast it far down the main stream.
Instead of looking at the line hanging from the tip of the rod, look toward the sea. When a fish pulls, the boundary between the floating line and the part of the line that is submerged in the water seems to float up.
This is something you can't see if it's a solid colour. I can tell that the line moves in 25cm increments with the previous Gure Michi, but there were times when I was skeptical. With the new Gure Michi 15cm, it moves smoothly. So I can go for the hook with confidence.
When the fish are biting well, it doesn't matter because it goes in with a bang, but when the fish are there but not biting well, you can catch fish by going for the bite".

Technology

UV-Resistant

This UV-cut manufacturing method minimises UV degradation, a weak point of nylon, and increases durability.

Plasma Rise

Through joint development with Plasma Concept Tokyo, Inc., we have achieved the world's first continuous atmospheric pressure plasma treatment of fibrous materials, which has been said to be difficult until now. This makes it possible to treat fishing lines with plasma, and to give them a variety of properties. It is an innovative technology with infinite possibilities that can meet the strict demands of anglers.

Vivid Dyeing

Sunline's unique dyeing technology combines clarity, visibility and softness.

Parallel winding spooling

A winding method that reduces thread kinks and surface irregularities. The line moves straight when taken off the spool, and the feel of the thread surface is excellent.
