The Olympic 25 Super Calamaretti represents a complete redesign of the flagship egging rod, engineered with premium materials and precision craftsmanship. Built from Torayca® high-strength carbon fibres (T1100G, M40X, M46X) and reinforced with Super Quattro Graphite Cross LV throughout, the blank delivers exceptional strength-to-weight ratio with minimal flex.

The proprietary OP-02 carbon reel seat with down-lock mechanism ensures lightweight sensitivity for precise lure control, while titanium-framed guides with Torzite rings reduce vibration provide strength.

Available in two models.

GCALSS-832ML/M for 2.5–3.0 jigs with softer tip and increased sensitivity, and the GCALSS-862M for 3.0–4.0 jigs with all-round performance. This rod excels across casting, jerking, feedback, hook-setting, and retrieval.

This is a technical model that has been refined to provide better maneuverability for 2.5 to 3 size squid jigs. The sharp ML action at the tip allows you to hook the squid without bouncing it off, while the M action at the butt section provides power while following the squid's pull. The 8'3" rod length supports comfortable eging.

GCALSS-862M

An all-around model compatible with size 3 to 4 egi jigs. While it has a standard length and action, it also offers high-level performance in terms of the basic elements required of an eging rod, such as casting, jerking, feeling, hooking, and reeling in.

Blank & Technology

The entire blank is made with high-strength materials such as Torayca® M40X, Torayca® T1100G, and Torayca® M46X. By using Super Quattro Graphite Cross LV throughout the entire blank and the G-MAPS manufacturing method (PAT.) in the butt section, we have created a lightweight, high-strength blank with little wobble.

Features

Lightweight titanium frame guides are used. Torzite rings are used on all guides except the top guide (SiC for the top guide only) to reduce rod vibration and weight. The subdued color of the T2 color frame creates a luxurious feel.

The joint uses a high-precision spigot ferrule (spigot joint) to achieve a smooth bending curve.

Olympic's original carbon reel seat "OP-02" is used with a down-lock system, achieving high sensitivity and light weight, allowing for delicate operation of the squid lure.

The separate grip is made of high-strength, corrosion-resistant EVA. The grip design reduces the level difference on the top surface of the reel seat, reducing strain on the hand.

The grip end is made of highly durable high-cork.
