Daiwa 21 Hatou Iso Fishing Rod
A user-friendly blank design that is easy to cast and bends to firmly bring fish to the surface.
Equipped with a new screw reel seat that securely holds reels of all sizes. FUJI carbon resin frame guides (C-IMSG) are used on the tip section (up to the fixed #2) for light and agile rod handling. Guide alignment marks are included, allowing even beginners to set the guides correctly day or night.
X45 technology prevents wobbling and twisting during casting. The flexible Mega Top supports bite detection (except for HR and long-cast models). HVF blank specifications combine power and tenacity. The body design combines a sense of luxury and brilliance. The butt section uses the new tactile coating adopted in the TOURNAMENT series to improve grip.
In the carbon sheet, which has the greatest impact on rod performance, Daiwa has focused not only on increasing the elasticity of the carbon fibers themselves, but also on the amount of resin that acts as an adhesive to hold the carbon fibers together. By reducing the amount of resin, which can be considered excess weight, and instead increasing the density of the carbon fibers, they have created "High-Density HVF Carbon," which is more muscular and powerful. It is the ideal material for rods that prioritise tenacity and strength.
Megatop is a carbon solid in which fibers and resin are uniformly dispersed, exhibiting consistent bending in all directions. As a result, its strength is dramatically improved compared to ordinary carbon solids. This makes it possible to create a thin, flexible, and highly tapered tip, resulting in a tip that not only provides sensitivity that resonates in the hand but also offers superior visual sensitivity that allows you to detect bites.
C-IMSG equipped (up to the second section fixed, excluding TOPG) + Mega Top
The float fishing models are equipped with lightweight FUJI carbon resin frame guides. By making the tip section lighter, casting the rig is easier and rod wobble is reduced, making it more comfortable for the angler to operate. In addition, the tip uses a high-sensitivity, high-strength Mega Top (excluding HR and long-cast models).
To prevent twisting that occurs during actions such as casting, retrieving, hooking, and fighting, years of research have led to the conclusion that, in addition to the conventional structure (0° and 90° relative to the rod tip), wrapping a "45°" bias cross (carbon fibers, etc., angled at ±45°) is optimal for preventing twisting. By incorporating X45, twisting is prevented, resulting in a dramatic improvement in power, operability, and sensitivity.
This new screw-type reel seat was designed to securely fix the reel and allow anglers to perform the basic actions of fishing—such as casting and reeling in fish—more comfortably and naturally.
For the first time in its class, the use of guide alignment marks allows for accurate and speedy preparation.
