Shimano 25 Sustain FK
Sustain FK: Respond with Power
Designed to excel in inshore and freshwater environments, the Shimano Sustain FK integrates advanced technologies that elevate control, strength, and precision. As a member of the MAGNUMLITE series, the Shimano Sustain FK features an ultra-responsive MGL Rotor, aiding in precise lure control. Additional technology includes INFINITYDRIVE minimises resistance for fluid cranking, while INFINITYXROSS reinforces gear engagement for lasting strength. INFINITYLOOP and the ANTI-TWIST FIN improve line lay and control, reducing slack and maximise casting performance. Paired with a steady DURACROSS drag, Sustain FK is lightweight, resilient, and ready to perform, cast after cast.
Technology

Hagane
HAGANE is a Shimano reel design concept created to withstand continual use and extreme abuse. HAGANE is an innovation with built-in toughness and durability that works alongside Shimano's precision engineering. HAGANE is for all anglers.

Magnumlite
MAGNUMLITE SERIES uses a low-inertia rotor (MGL ROTOR) made of carbon fibre reinforced resin C14+. This results the weight lighter, improving the agility and the sensitivity of the information transmitted to the hand. In addition, by making the rotor's inertia as low as possible, reeling and stopping can be achieved with little force. It is easy to feel the movement of the lure and changes in the water current. It makes it easier to control the lure to catch fish.

Hagane Gear
With amazing strength and durability, the HAGANE Gear is at the very heart of most Shimano reels.
Shimano, through the application of state-of-the-art technologies, gives anglers the long-lasting smoothness and enjoyment that is felt when anglers first use a reel, repeatedly. No cutting work is applied to the teeth of the drive gear during fabrication; instead, the entire surface is calculated in minute detail by a special 3D design and then formed by Shimano's cold-forging technology. The result is assured resilience. HAGANE Gear is the result of Shimano's endless pursuit for durability — this strength and power of forged metal continue to represent the fundamental concept of Shimano reels.

Micromodule II
The MICROMODULE Gear II has evolved with Shimano's unique manufacturing technology and a state-of-the-art gear-tooth surface design. The drive and pinion gear surfaces have been analyzed and updated from the ground up in Shimano's pursuit of perfection to further improve the smooth gear feeling and reduce sound.

X Ship
X SHIP provides improved gear performance. Large diameter drive gear optimally positioned pinion gear and drive gear, and two points bearings supported pinion gear produce light reeling under load.

Hagane Body
The use of lightweight and rigid metals such as aluminum and magnesium firmly suppresses deflection, distortion, and torsion of the reel. This protects delicate gear meshing and enables smooth reeling.

Infinity Loop
Significantly reduced line emission resistance, slippery cast feel
"Super" dense winding beyond dense winding. Due to the evolution of the internal structure, the speed at which the spool moves up and down has been overwhelmingly reduced. By wrapping the lines neatly and precisely one by one on the spool, we succeeded in significantly reducing the release resistance of the lines. It has achieved a slippery cast feel and smooth line delivery.

INFINITYDRIVE
INFINITYDRIVE is a new main shaft supporting structure that improves winding torque and allows for incredibly smooth and light rotation.

Duracross
DURACROSS provides smooth, reliable drag performance and incredible durability. The material is reinforced by weaving in new fibers in a manner orthogonal to the direction of the fibers that make up conventional drag washers. We have succeeded in increasing abrasion resistance more than 10 times while maintaining smooth drag performance.

Silent Drive
The basic design of the entire body and drive-related parts were reviewed one by one to reduce minute rattles, gaps, and shaking between parts down to the smallest detail. It provides smooth and quiet reel rotation.

Magnum Light Rotor
Reduces rotational inertia and strengthens rotor rigidity.
The Magnum Light Rotor adopts an asymmetric rotor structure, and achieves an unprecedented level of rotational lightness in pursuit of improved operability and sensitivity. In addition, we have succeeded in reducing rotational inertia by reducing the weight of the line roller, using titanium for the veil, and optimizing the placement of the rotor thickness.

Anti Twist Fin
Elastic fins are installed near the line roller section. By suppressing line slack, the fins reduce the phenomenon of line dropping out of the lower part of the spool and line wrapping around the spool while the line is still twisted.

X Protect
For medium and small general-purpose spinning reels, which require lighter spinning, we focused on a non-contact structure that does not compromise the lightness of the spinning. In addition to conventional water-repellent treatment, a labyrinth structure that suppresses water penetration is combined to achieve high water-resistant performance despite the non-contact nature of the structure. It is used in the stopper bearing section and line roller section.

G Free Body
G FREE BODY technology has been developed to shift the reel's center of gravity closer to the rod. By moving the center of gravity closer to the angler’s hand, the G FREE BODY helps to reduce fatigue and enhance casting comfort.

AR-C Spool
The spool has a special spool ring shape. This creates a rectifying effect on the line and realizes both suppression of line trouble and long casting performance.

Long Stroke Spool
The LONG STROKE SPOOL has a longer stroke compared to conventional spool designs. It contributes to improved casting feel and distance.

Ci4+
A new carbon material that is an evolution of the lightweight carbon material Ci4. The rigidity and durability have been significantly improved while maintaining the lightness, making it possible to make the reel smaller and lighter.

Rigid Support Drag
By supporting the spool with two bearings in the main shaft and spool, it suppresses spool fluctuation and provides stable and smooth drag performance.

S A-RB
S A-RB bearings are put through the same process as Shimano’s A-RB bearings but feature shields on both sides of the bearings. These shields reduce the possibility of salt or sand inhibiting the rotation of the bearing

ONE-PIECE BAIL
One-piece bail allows the line to travel unimpeded to the line roller. The seamless design reduces friction and decreases the chance of tangles or the line catching on the bail arm.
