DRD
DRD is a completely new drag mechanism that can withstand the repeated running of large fish over a long period of time and prevents wear and tear and seizure at high drag ranges. The DRD washer, which is equipped with eight metal rollers on one metal plate, replaces the carbon washers used in conventional drags. It prevents the drag force from decreasing due to frictional heat and is more than five times more durable than a carbon washer (according to Daiwa comparison tests). It also contributes to a smooth start.
Precautions
When installing a 25SALTIGA DRD 14000 spool on a 25SALTIGA8000/10000/14000, please replace the drag knob with this product.
