■ DRD (DRD14000-25000)
DRD is a completely new drag mechanism that can withstand the repeated running of large fish over a long period of time and prevents wear damage and seizure at high drag ranges. The DRD washer, which is equipped with eight metal rollers on one metal plate, replaces the carbon washers used in conventional drags. It suppresses the decrease in drag force due to frictional heat and its durability is actually more than five times that of carbon washers (※ According to Daiwa comparison tests). It also contributes to smooth start.

■ LC-ABS SW
The LC-ABS optimizes the spool ring shape to achieve smooth line release, while the LC-ABS SW uses a two-stage taper shape on the upper side of the spool winding section toward the spool ring. This reduces friction with the line released from the deep diameter, realizing a good casting feel and further improving the release performance in the latter half of the cast. In particular, when using thick lines where the winding diameter changes greatly due to casting, it contributes to an increase in casting distance of about 2%. *Caution: Winding the line with more line tension than necessary may cause the spool to deform. Be careful not to apply too much line tension. When winding PE line, we recommend winding with a line tension of about 1.5kg. When winding nylon line (including the undercoat), we recommend winding with a line tension of about 300g to avoid applying too much line tension.
