This winter/autumn has been challenging for many to fish off the rocks with wild winds, massive swells and torrential rain. ISO fishing in the harbour is a great way to venture out fishing without the worrying about large swells with the ability to hide away during the windier days. You will be surprised with the variety of fish that can be caught during these conditions.

Fishing an ultra light set up such as a Type 0 rod matched with any floating or semi floating iso line under a size #2 (8lb) is the best method. Complete the set up the lightest iso float size that is manageable with the set up such as a B ~ 00 float will complete the set.

We organised a last minute iso fishing trip with Justin, Dom and Steven from Isofishinglifestyle with Gabriel and Tony. The session was short with lines in the water at 4pm and sunset at 5:30pm.

The burley was quickly prepared and the burley trail started. Steven was quick to hook up with the first fish being the largest out of the lot for the day and ended up with 5 bream which were all released.
