Daiwa Reel Health Check 2026 – In Store Event at Isofishinglifestyle West Ryde

Fishing reels perform best when they are properly maintained. To help anglers keep their gear performing at its peak, Isofishinglifestyle is partnering with Daiwa Australia to host an in-store Daiwa Reel Health Check Event at our West Ryde store.

This is a great opportunity for Daiwa reel owners to have their reels inspected by the official Daiwa service team, receive maintenance advice, and ensure their equipment is ready for the season.

Event Details

Event: Daiwa Reel Health Check 2026
Date: 28 March 2026
Time: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Location: Isofishinglifestyle West Ryde Store

During the event, three Daiwa reel technicians — Shaun, Elliot and Tom — will be present, along with Anthony Strati, Manager of the Daiwa Service Department. The team will be available to speak with customers, answer technical questions, and provide maintenance services on the day.

Whether you're chasing kingfish, tuna, snapper or fishing offshore, maintaining your reel is essential to preserving performance, smooth drag operation and long-term reliability.

Maintenance Services Available

The Daiwa technicians will be performing quick maintenance checks on reels brought in by customers.

Services available include:

Drag washer cleaning and re-greasing (drag washers will not be replaced)
Line roller bearing lubrication and/or replacement

These checks help maintain smooth drag performance and prevent common issues such as line twist, corrosion or bearing failure.

Each reel maintenance will take approximately 15 minutes, however wait times may increase if there is a queue on the day.

Eligible Reels

All Daiwa reels distributed by Daiwa Australia are welcome for inspection, including:

• Spinning reels
• Overhead reels
• Baitcast reels
• Electric reels

This event is open to all Daiwa anglers who would like a professional check-up on their reels.

Important Notes

Please note the following regarding the event:

This is not a full reel servicing event
• The team will only perform drag washer cleaning/re-greasing and line roller maintenance

If a reel is found to require more extensive servicing that cannot be completed on the spot, the Daiwa technicians may take the reel back to their service department to be processed through the standard Daiwa service procedure.

Why Reel Maintenance Matters

Regular maintenance is one of the most overlooked aspects of fishing gear ownership. Saltwater, sand and general use can affect internal components over time and may effect the performance of the reel.

Proper maintenance helps:

• Preserve drag performance
• Extend reel lifespan
• Prevent corrosion and bearing damage
• Maintain smooth operation

Events like this give anglers the chance to learn directly from Daiwa's service team and better understand how to care for their gear.
