This is a popper

But depending on the operation, it can become a die pen.

When you operate it with a short, impactful jerk while the head is floating on the water, it will create splashes and bubbles like a small-bore popper. If you find it difficult to operate, we recommend operating it like a slug of the line, like a slug jerk in egging.
If you make a long jerk while the bubbles are still being drawn, the lure will transition to a rolling motion, and it will create a small sliding action that is easy to handle with continuous operations to lure out the fish.

Hook setting

It is designed to be used with a #2/0 (5.5g). Vanfook's Takumi Premium is best with a #2/0, while Gamakatsu's SP-XH can be used with up to a #3/0.
If the lure is slow to rise, lightly setting the front hook will help it lift its head even more, making it easier for the lure to rise.
Like the NUMBER SIX, by setting a single hook, it has a strong diving action that is easy to use for luring out yellowtail amberjack.
