The renowned Daiwa 23 Laxus LBD features a monocoque body for improved rigidity and waterproofing, resulting in silky rotation and increased winding power and rotational durability. An increase in gear diameter and improved airtightness of the body result in increased water resistance with a weight reduction of 15g compared to its predecessor. Two gear ratio models, the XH (6.6 - 99cm) and the H (6.2 - 93cm), offer a variety of device collection and exchange speeds. Spool compatibility with past models is also intact.

MONOCOQUE BODY
Strong and durable technology, monocoque body. Conventionally, spinning reels generally supported both ends of the drive gear with the body and body cover, and fixed them with several screws. From this structure, we aimed to further improve precision and rigidity by eliminating the body cover and fixing the monocoque body by screwing a high-precision plate directly into the body. This increases gear support precision, and also improves rigidity and airtightness. Furthermore, we have succeeded in maximizing the size of the drive gear by utilizing the space previously taken up by screws. Monocoque body means MONO (one) - COQUE (shell). The completely new shape, which symbolizes the strength of a mono valve shell, breaks the conventional wisdom of reel construction.
BITURBO BRAKE SYSTEM
The use of titanium discs achieves twice the braking efficiency compared to conventional models and provides powerful braking force just by lightly squeezing the lever. The time it takes to reach the required braking force after squeezing the lever is also reduced to 1/4 of the time compared to conventional brakes.
MAGSEALED
DAIWA's unique waterproof structure creates a magnetic oil wall in the gap between the body and rotor to shut out seawater and dust.
ATD
ATD that operates smoothly according to the pull of the fish and continues to work smoothly. In pursuit of start-up and tracking performance, it is now possible to concentrate on the fight without worrying about drag settings.
AIRROTOR
The unique arch shape that distributes the load on the rotor achieves a significant weight reduction with the same strength. The rotor balance has also been improved, resulting in light rotation with good response.
ZAION V
Make your reel lighter and stronger. Zaion V is a carbon hybrid resin developed for this purpose. By precisely controlling the amount of hybridized carbon, we have achieved a high level of lightness that surpasses metal and strength comparable to metal, as well as versatility that allows it to be installed on many reels. It inherits the essence of Zaion, which can be said to be the MAX spec of carbon hybrid resin.

■The lightest in the Laxus series
Compared to the 270g of the 19 Laxus , it weighs 255g, which is 15g lighter. The new monocoque body, lever, and spool are lighter, contributing to overall weight reduction.
■Continues spool compatibility
Any spool can be installed as long as the drag knob part is a push type (excluding 4000LBD and Onaga Monster)
■Large diameter drive gear
Compared to 19 Laxus , the drive gear diameter has increased by 1 mm (31 mm ⇒ 32 mm, 3% increase), and the gear thickness has increased from 5 mm to 5.45 mm (9% increase), resulting in increased strength and durability.
■New drag ratchet shape
Adopts a drag ratchet with the same structure as the Tournament ISO. By changing the shape, there is less resistance when the drag is activated, and even the slightest movement of the drag can be detected by sound.
■Manual bail return
A manual return method is used to reverse the bail. In order to prevent the bail from returning when casting and to improve durability, the structure is such that the bail does not return when the handle is rotated. Please return the bail manually after casting out.
■Economizer standard equipment
Equipped as standard with an ``economizer'' that is useful when winding fine thread. No. 2500 can be made into a 1.85-150m roll, and No. 3000 can be made into a 3-150m roll.
