Daiwa 25 Gekkabijin MX Ajing Rod

Flowers that bloom at night continue to shine brighter.

The "Gekkabijin" tackle, first introduced to the DAIWA lineup in 2005, is designed specifically for light saltwater fishing. Like the dazzling blooming flower, the Gekkabijin dances, inspiring anglers to leap into action. Gekkabijin tackle
has evolved to take on horse mackerel, a familiar target that sometimes requires an extremely delicate approach, and cunning large rockfish that hide in the shade of rocks or gaps in the seaweed, cautiously waiting for bait to appear nearby. Gekkabijin will continue to evolve alongside anglers, providing unprecedented joy and enjoyment. The Gekkabijin's lustrous brilliance will continue to illuminate the light saltwater fishing world.

The latest in response and carbon monocoque rear grip provide the highest sensitivity in its class.

The Gekkabijin MX series was created with the concept of best-in-class sensitivity and operability.
The blank, specially designed as an ajing rod, incorporates know-how from higher-end models to achieve high sensitivity and a slim profile.
It transmits the subtlest bites as tension is released, conveying every change in the lure to the angler, accurately directing the desired action.
Furthermore, the grip end, molded as a single piece from carbon, improves vibration transmission to the handle, allowing you to instantly detect bites during curve falls and retrievals and quickly hook the lure.
The reel seat features a zero seat compact fit that allows for a light grip in the hand.
This series is attractive for its lineup that can handle a variety of lures and situations, including jighead rigs, split shots, and carolines, as well as the mainstay.

Daiwa Technology

X45
To prevent twisting that occurs during actions such as casting, action, hooking, and fighting, we have concluded through many years of research that the best way to prevent twisting is to add a 45° bias cross (carbon fiber etc. angled at ±45°) to the conventional structure (0° and 90° relative to the tip of the rod). By incorporating X45, twisting is prevented and a dramatic improvement in power, operability, and sensitivity has been achieved.

MEGA TOP
The Mega Top is a carbon solid with fibers and resins evenly distributed, allowing it to bend in any direction. As a result, it is significantly stronger than regular carbon solids. This makes it possible to create a thin, flexible, high-taper tip, resulting in a tip that is not only sensitive to the touch but also visually sensitive, allowing you to detect bites.

ZERO_SEAT
The Zero Seat is a new reel seat design concept that aims to allow you to enjoy fishing without stress and to your heart's content.

V-JOINT
By using a bias carbon sheet at the rod joint, we have achieved a beautiful bend with minimal distortion, just like a one-piece rod.Compared to rods without this, the power, tension, and speed of recovery from bending are significantly improved, creating the ideal tone.

HVF NANOPLUS
"High-density HVF carbon" reduces the amount of resin and instead increases the density of the carbon fiber, making it the ideal material for rods that emphasize toughness and strength. By combining Toray Industries, Inc.'s Nanoalloy technology with Daiwa's unique manufacturing process, it is possible to achieve even higher strength and lighter weight.

Best-in-class blank
Based on the standard size of the Gekkabijin series, we've thoroughly refined its performance through the combined efforts of our testers and Daiwa technology. The HVF Nano Plus, which combines sensitivity and tenacity, is reinforced with a V-JOINT straight joint and X45. This blank offers the highest sensitivity in its class, ease of use, and the joy of hooking a bite and bending the rod.

Carbon monocoque rear grip with excellent design
The Gekkabijin series is the first to feature a carbon monocoque rear grip. The appearance has been greatly improved. The rod is constructed entirely from carbon, improving the overall balance. It also provides a sharper, more powerful casting feel.

Lightweight and highly sensitive reel seat
Equipped with the Zero Seat Compact Fit, which is also used in the flagship model, this reel seat is optimal for feeling the changes transmitted through the blank in light games where lightness and sensitivity are key.

The luminous design makes it stand out even at the fishing spot

■ Straight joint design ensures a secure hooking

■ High elasticity Mega Top improves sensitivity and hooking performance

■ The grip end uses genuine plain weave carbon fiber, which is visible under sunlight for a unique appearance.

Item Introduction

item explanation
410UL-S The 410UL-S is a super short finesse model designed for more delicate fishing.
It can handle ultra-light jig heads under 1g, drifting them naturally to lure the horse mackerel. It excels at close-range fishing, targeting small horse mackerel and less active horse mackerel that reside in bays and fishing ports, as well as delicate horse mackerel fishing, where you can sense the slight currents and ripples of the tide to target them.
48L-S The 48L-S is a super short model designed for a delicate and sharp hooking feel. Its
short length allows it to effortlessly manipulate lightweight jigheads and metal jigs weighing around 1g, accurately directing subtle shakes and other lures. It excels at close-range fishing, targeting small horse mackerel and less active horse mackerel that reside in bays and fishing ports, as well as delicate horse mackerel fishing, where you can sense the subtle currents and ripples of the tide to target them.
54L-T The 54L-T is a short model that offers the high maneuverability and enhanced resonant sensitivity of a tubular tip.
Its hollow construction gives it a lightweight feel that sets it apart from solid tips, yet it still allows you to control lightweight jig heads and metal jigs weighing around 1g. It's also recommended for targeting horse mackerel that hang out in the dark areas of night lights, where high light output is required and casting distance is required, as well as for fast-paced horse mackerel fishing near the bottom in shallow waters with a lift-and-fall technique.
55L-S The 55L-S is a short model that strikes a balance between distance and maneuverability. Its
casting distance allows it to cast and search lightweight jigheads and metal jigs weighing around 1g over a wide area, while its stiff solid tip accurately produces subtle shakes and other lures. It excels at short to medium-distance fishing, and is capable of handling not only the bright and dark areas of bays and around streetlights, but also the delicate ajing game where you can sense the subtle currents and swaying of the tide.
64UL-S The 64UL-S is a standard light model that is essential for quickly and widely searching fishing ports.
It can cast ultra-light jig heads under 1g far and hook eager, fresh horse mackerel at a steady pace. The flexible yet taut blank makes it excellent for mid- to long-distance fishing, and it is also suitable for high-speed horse mackerel fishing, where you can instantly hook the bite of horse mackerel feeding on high-footing embankments as well as in the dim light areas of nighttime lights.
66L-S The 66L-S is the most popular standard model for jig-only ajing games.
It is compatible with a wide range of lures, including jig heads around 1g, split shots, and metal jigs. It is easy to operate even on high embankments, and its lift-and-fall strokes allow you to explore the wide range of horse mackerel's pursuit, resulting in automatic hook-ups without deflecting bites.
711ML-S The 711ML-S is a powerful long model that dominates offshore currents and breaks.
Its flexible tip allows it to bite without bouncing off, and its powerful butt section allows it to cast heavy rigs with great resistance, allowing it to hit the target virgin spot. Its belly section is tuned for excellent rig control and a firm, powerful enough to hook even at long distances, allowing it to accurately control caro and float lures. It's also suitable for surf ajing, which requires long distance casting, or situations where you need to deliver a rig to a spot that a single jig can't reach.
