The original Gamakatsu Fine Special Titanium burley scoop had served it's purpose and the new model has been refined to further reduce the weight of the Titanium scoop head and improve performance. Even with a small difference of a few grams the difference is major with the operability of throwing burley having a "lighter" feel. The carbon shaft which is the main component of the burley scoop was upgraded to improve control and balance to improve accuracy and distance with the shaft being a touch more flexible. The oval burley scoop was tested to be less susceptible from the wind and reduces the chance of the burley to disperse mid air. The rounder burley scoop head found on the 800mm 22c model is designed for less distance, but the ability to throw a larger amount of burley in one scoop.
An eva grip is been used for the best grip with an anchor point at the end of the scoop which can be attached to a burley scoop leash.
