In the shore jigging scene, one of the reasons why we miss a hook-up even though there is a bite is when the hook gets entangled with the jig. To maximize the opportunity of catching fish, Gamakatsu has manufactured the Shore Jig Assist Hook with a tube that wraps securely around the assist line. Measuring exact dimensions, the tube provides sufficient freedom for the hook while limiting tangles with the jig. This medium-sized hook is ideal for catching white-eye, rockfish and unexpected yellowtail while shore jigging.
<Guideline for hook size selection>
- By using a hook with a wider end than the width of the metal jig, you can prevent it from clinging to the jig.
