The unique second lip overturns the concept of heavyweight minnows.

Heavy sinking minnows, while their weight allows them to cast great distances, have poor swimming response, meaning they can only swim on fast retrieves. The G Control's second lip in the belly section generates lift that lifts the body, counteracting the tendency to sink and dramatically improving response on slow retrieves. Despite weighing just 28g, it can swim at the same retrieve speed as a 14g sinking minnow, half the weight. While typical heavy minnows have a wobbling action, the G Control adds a rolling action to the wobbling, creating a more minnow-like action.
