11 rods in total, which have been created by generously pouring all of Ripple Fisher's current technology into them. The categories are divided into four, ST, MLT, MST, and EX, aiming for a more understandable configuration.
The ST is a well-balanced model with standard performance that can target a wide range of situations and targets, and in 2024 the ST81-2, which is ideal for light targets such as bonito and Spanish mackerel, will be added. The MLT is a multi-purpose model that combines a delicate tip and a strong butt to challenge large fish with a light line. The MST is a reinforced model that pursues toughness and power, specializing in large Hiramasa, which has already become a standard. And the EX is a 3-piece pack rod that achieves a feel and tone that exceeds the limits of multi-pieces.
"Aquila" is a rod that has been crafted without compromise to realize the spirit of Ripple Fisher, a rod that goes beyond the limits. It is easy to handle, yet has a high level of lifting power, delicate lure control, and castability, and it also has the power to keep the fish from acting violently. Please experience the true power of the blank, which is not just power or tone.
Aquila ST: This series combines the basic performance of cast, lure operation, ease of hooking fish, and fight, which are standard and important factors required in casting games, at a high level. The feeling of use is very sharp, and when a fish is hooked and load is applied, the fulcrum smoothly moves to the hand side, and the butt that can be accumulated enables a stable fight and does not give the initiative to the fish. The lineup also has three models in the PE3, 4, and 6 classes, and has models that can handle a variety of situations and targets.
Aquila MLT: This is a multi-purpose model created to capture situations where the fish are large but prey on tiny bait such as whitebait, so the tackle must be light and they will not bite, or where the boat cannot be brought close to the nervous tiny bait and a longer throw than usual is required. It is a new rod for catching big fish with light tackle, designed to maximize the strength of the line by combining the contradictory elements of long-distance casting and operability of small lures, and catching large fish without giving up the initiative. This model is truly another culmination that complements the lineup of Ripple Fisher offshore rods.
*The 2/4 in the model notation means that the rod class is PE4 max, and the tip feels like PE2. (For 3/6, the tip is PE3 and the butt is PE6)
*The undercast short handle for MLT is sold separately. It is not sold as a set. Both the MLT82-2/4 and MLT82-3/6 are priced at 15,000 yen (excluding tax).
Aquila MST: A series dedicated to monster class fishing, with performance refined to target large yellowtail. The main concept is to use large lures and PE7-9 class lines in a situation where yellowtail are preying on large bait such as dolphin fish, needlefish, and flying fish. It is not just a stiff rod, but by setting the bending fulcrum of the rod forward, it has the ability to follow the sudden thrusts that are unique to yellowtail, and it is easy to lower your hips and stand the rod, making it easy for anyone to fight.
*The + in the power class indicates that the original power class design has been added with tenacity and strength.
Aquila EX: An expedition model that combines the portability of a 3-piece with uncompromising rod performance. Traveling by plane is essential for domestic and overseas expeditions, which are increasing year by year. The more remote the area, the smaller the aircraft size becomes, and the more severe the checked baggage size restrictions become. Even under such circumstances, the Aquila EX series was created after repeated trial and error to meet the voices of those who want to travel with a familiar companion in hand. The lineup includes PE3 and PE6 classes, and has a sharp feel that can be used with any lure. Although it is a three-piece rod, it has a sharp feel and the ability to bend and store it easily will make it a powerful ally even in the harsh conditions of an expedition.
Aquila Bending Curve (3kg static load comparison)
This is a comparison of bending with a static load of 3 kg applied to the Aquila. The Aquila is made up of four types: ST, MLT, MST, and EX. The ST emphasizes general-purpose performance and balance, the MLT combines a strong butt with a delicate tip, the MST has the power to suppress the running of large yellowtail in tough situations such as shallow areas, and the EX is a three-piece model. The specially designed MLT is a model for catching large fish with light line, and is equipped with a delicate tip that is contrary to the Line Max class and features a wide range of lure use. The MST is designed to make it easy to maintain a stable fighting posture in rough seas, and to raise the rod to withstand the plunge directly below the yellowtail. As shown in this comparison, the EX series is a three-piece model that achieves smooth bending, and has a sharp swing-through and operability.

The new Aquila series has different characteristics during fighting depending on the type of series.
●ST and EX are models with standard and balanced bending that can be used for various fish species. (Mainly bluefish in general and light GT)
●MLT82-3/6 is a model that allows for a fight with a slightly upright position and is a model that is stored. (Mainly yellowtail and tuna)
●MST is a model that emphasizes tenacity, assuming a development where the drag is tightened and it will endure. (Mainly large yellowtail, tuna, GT)
Points to note during fighting
●Please pay particular attention to how to hold the rod. For ST, MST, and EX, we recommend a style where you do not hold the rod all the way up, but rather lower your hips and transfer your weight to apply load.
●On the other hand, MLT can also handle fights with a slightly upright position in a low position.
●Please refrain from holding the ST, MST, and EX at nearly 90 degrees in a low position as it makes it difficult for the blank to exert its power and may cause damage.
