This all-round model exemplifies the "parabolic action" essential to an eging rod.
A delicate yet powerful rod, it is ready for action year-round, tackling small to large squid, with squid jig ("egi") sizes from 2.5 to 3.5.

Equipped with components selected for optimal rod balance in during fishing, this is a practical rod that exhibits a high-level power in actions from lure casting to squid landing.

What is "parabolic action"?
Using a combination of high-elastic carbon at the tip and medium-elastic carbon at the butt yields a unique action that bends from the butt, while maintaining strong power throughout the blank. The parabolic taper is an essential rod action with an eging rod, born of the concept of "cast with the butt, whip with the butt."
By bending the butt, energy is accumulated and transferred to the high elastic tip at once, producing powerful casting and whipping that cannot be experienced with a fast taper rod.

Also the joint has been updated to the put-over joint from the spigot joints used in the last eging model, Gahoujin. [The parabolic action x put-over joint design ] eliminates the loss of power transmission that occurs at the joint, resulting in a much smoother power drift and overall performance.

The opposite concept of rod weight reduction
To create a true parabolic action, a weighted “thick blank” is indispensable.
Rather than rod lightening, we developed this rod blank based on the concept of “a rod blank that really does the necessary work”.
This weight is the key to create a strong lower body of the blank and generate amazing power.
The parabolic action of the rod blank is completely different from that of a fast-tapered lightweight rod in the series of casting, whipping, and fighting.

3 Advantages of “Parabolic action”

1. Casting: Distance and power "cast with the butt"
When casting the squid lures known as "egi", the lure must be released with weight loading the rod right through to the butt; the part of the rod blank with the greatest power.
Swinging through the arc against the butt's resistance yields fast initial speed and a powerful line drive less susceptible to wind, achieving stable distance.
Similar to the use of the lower body in sports, using the "butt power" (lower body) leads not only to distance but also to direction and stability in distance.
Stable casting also means the ability to obtain sufficient casting distance without always requiring a full power cast.
Fatigue-free casting contributes greatly to sustained concentration in anglers, even during lengthy fishing sessions.
Parabolic action is the action best suited to squid lure casting.

2. Jerking: Powerful action through "whip with the butt"
When moving the squid lure through the water after a long cast, if the butt is too stiff the lure will not move commensurately with the movement of the rod, increasing the physical toll on the angler.
The parabolic action flexes smoothly from the rod butt, launching the lure up firmly with a strong recovery through the full blank.
The tip with its high-elastic carbon engineering and the bending butt are also suited to snappy action, creating both appeal even at a distance and crisp action in the lure.
That is the quintessence of parabolic action.

3. Fight: Low losses from pulled hooks with "fight squid with the butt"
Even after firmly hooking the squid, the rod does not apply excessive force, flexibly absorbing load to boost the probability of successful landing.
The impressive butt strength of the parabolic action lets anglers take on large squid with plenty of power to spare.
The rod action lets anglers enjoy the "snagging" of squid unique to eging.

The History of the ZENAQ Eging Rod
The first-generation range (released in 2001) offered "aggressive eging" as the forerunner of "day eging."
PE line, an indispensable item today, was not yet common then, and was seen as a line with high potential but very difficult to handle.
ZENAQ made PE line its main line for day eging through the novel idea of using an ultra small plastic guide for shore rods.
In 2007, the first-generation RG guide system made its appearance and spurred a massive evolution in the eging game.
And in 2004, ZENAQ launched the unique "parabolic" action.
The superiority of this action in eging was initially understood by few, but the rod came to be praised by anglers who realized its capabilities on the field.

In 2024, that legendary parabolic action has evolved back to the field, sporting a new blank design and carbon material.
The guide setting utilizes the newly designed RG10 in the butt guide for outstanding castability and stability.
The reel seat, the sole point of contact between angler and rod, adopts the originally designed Hexagon Reel Seat 15 to achieve handling not possible with previous rods.
We believe that the INQLUDE Squid eging rod, the culmination of 23 years of major evolution with its ultimate combination of parabolic action + RG guide system + Hexagon reel seat, will launch a new era of eging.

FEATURE.01

Super Blank for Include

Zenaq has perfected its rod blanks by studying the characteristics of the fish their rods are designed to target. The blank design is informed by both science and feedback from fishermen, taking into account casting performance, working the lures and the power needed for the target species. In order to achieve the optimal balance between conflicting factors, advanced molding technology is crucial. Thanks to over 60 years of experience as a blank manufacturer, Zenaq creates super blanks with the perfect balance of factors, truly living up to the "fused at a high level" motto.

FEATURE.02

New RG guide system - RG10 system built for mid-shore games

The RG guide system from Zenaq, renowned for its minimal line troubles, has been upgraded to the ultra-high-footed RG10 guide. This adjustment allows it to handle various mid-shore games using PE3 class lines while effectively suppressing line loops and minimising resistance on the cast. With closely-spaced small-diameter guides, anglers can experience a "piercing cast feel" as their line passes through the narrow guide tunnel. Whether it be a rainy or windy day, this innovative guide system maintains casting distance and reduces line issues.

FEATURE.03

Hexagonal Reel Seat 15 - "The only point of contact between the angler and the rod"

Zenaq's "Hexagonal Reel Seat 20" was created with big games in mind, providing a carefully designed and thought-out reel seat that brings fresh results and surprises to casting games. The included "Hexagonal Reel Seat 15" follows the same concept and is ideal for mid-shore games, featuring a carbon frame structure and special rubber that maintains its shape. This unique reel seat offers an unparalleled comfortable grip and reliable operability due to its precise hardness and hexagonal shape, making it a crucial and often overlooked component.

FEATURE.04

Handle design that prioritises balance of the rod. ZENAQ's rod design is focused on achieving optimal weight balance in a practical manner.

The balance of the rod is crucial in "real-world" fishing scenarios with a reel and lure setup, outweighing the importance of the actual "rod weight" on paper. The handle design enables repetitive and efficient casting rhythms, while the rear grip length allows for smooth swings and does not hinder the use of life vests, resulting in the maximum casting distance for the lure. The grip end is constructed with EVA material, ensuring an effortless swing and no interference with clothing during casting. The metal rear ring, a vital "rod balancer" for enhanced fishing performance, is engraved with the ZENAQ logo, adding functional elegance.
