Fishing Reports
Report: First session of 2017
The fish aren't always on, so when they aren't there's always another species to target! This session reminded us that it's always great to have a back up plan in case the bite is slow.
Report: Following the forecast
We got ready for an early Tuesday morning session up north as the forecast seemed too good to miss.
Report: Monster Silver Trevally on ISO
Using light lines is always fun, especially when you use 3kg leader line to snag up a 55cm fish!
Report: Night time Eging (squid fishing)
Sometimes the weather's too good to miss a session so a spontaneous trip can lead to some surprising results.
Report: Central Coast ISO Fishing
Forecast predicted a swell of 1.7m @ 7 seconds with a 20 knot westerly wind so Jay and I decided to play it safe and selected a safer ledge to fish at with the members.
Report: 2 hour walk mission
Some of the best spots are hidden away in places most people won't put in the effort to go to, so we went.
Report: Ozisofishing members trip 24.09.2016
We met up nice and early and greeted the sunrise as we walked down to the ledge. The swell was forecasted to be high so I decided to select this ledge, but upon arrival the wash didn't seem too good as the tide was falling.
Report: Scouting new ledges for eging
After looking on Google Maps, we found a spot that could be worth a shot. Since it was a new spot, we didn't know what to expect and started casting around.
Eging in strong currents
Strong currents make it quite difficult to do Eging but when you put the hard work in, the hard work pays off!
Report: Winter Shore Jigging
Eager to fish, we made our way down to the ledge and everybody quickly rigged up the set ups. Everybody was shore slow jigging with the Palms Slow Blatt Cast jigs in 40 & 60g sizes.
Report: Hustling for drummer
Having not fished for the past 3~4 weeks, the anticipation got to me as I was only able to manage 1 hour sleep the night before.
Wash fishing for drummer
An ozisofishing organised fishing trip was held this morning with some keen anglers to brave the cold and head out for a early morning trip.
